In an August 31, 2025 article Ellen Brown of Common Dreams expounded on growing concerns about the Pentagon unbridled spending of taxpayer money on alien technology. Here is a summary of her article.
On August 13, 2025, a significant dialogue unfolded when Joe Rogan interviewed U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) about the initiatives of the House Oversight Committee, which aims to enhance government transparency on various pressing issues, including Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). These discussions are particularly timely and essential, as they shed light on the tension between elected officials and clandestine governmental operations.
Rep. Luna highlighted a particularly alarming incident: she and two associate congresspeople were denied access to crucial information concerning UAPs at Eglin Air Force Base, information that had been disclosed by whistleblowers. This incident raises critical questions about accountability, as Luna emphasized the role of Congress as a representative body that should operate transparently: “You have unelected people operating basically in secrecy… I think this goes all the way back even to JFK,” she said, suggesting a long history of governmental obfuscation.

Catherine Austin Fitts, a former HUD official, also contributed to the conversation on government transparency during an interview with Tucker Carlson. Fitts was adamant that the U.S. government had funneled trillions of taxpayer dollars into classified projects, particularly those involving advanced technologies, such as underground bunkers designed to protect elites from potential calamities. She also mentioned the existence of Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBs), asserting that the operations conducted there could be linked to extraterrestrial technology and secret space programs. The notion of a "breakaway civilization," introduced by UFO researcher Richard Dolan, reinforces the idea of a hidden society with advanced technologies operating outside mainstream civilization.
In a May 2025 interview, Fitts discussed Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBs), believed to house advanced technology or off-world operations. Whistleblower Philip Schneider, confirmed their existence in the late 1990s, revealing 131 underground cities connected by mag-lev rail, each costing $17-26 billion to build. Schneider, a geologist involved in their construction, was believed to be assassinated in 1996 by a US intelligence agency for exposing a government cover-up concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life, according to his biographer.

The speculation surrounding UAPs and their connections to advanced technologies draws parallels with Hollywood narratives like the 1997 film Men in Black, suggesting that hidden forces might be controlling our reality. As taxpayers, we have an intrinsic right to understand how our money is being spent and who is truly conducting governmental affairs.
Despite the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office asserting there’s no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial activities, many notable figures continue to back the UAP narrative. For instance, the New York Times revealed the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), indicating a $22 million initiative by the Department of Defense that investigated UAPs from 2007 to 2012.

Further fueling the discourse, Haim Eshed, a former head of Israel’s space security program, claimed in a 2020 interview that an agreement existed between the U.S. government and a "Galactic Federation" of extraterrestrial beings. He stated that aliens had been involved with both the U.S. and Israel, collaborating in secret underground facilities, though these claims remain unverified.
Congress has shown an increased focus on UAPs in recent years, with high-profile hearings and testimonies from whistleblowers like David Grusch revealing that the U.S. allegedly possesses “non-human origin” crafts and “dead pilots” acquired from classified missions. In fact, Rep. Luna, alongside other lawmakers such as Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), has been vocal in criticizing the Pentagon’s secrecy, and Burchett introduced the UAP Transparency Act. This act’s purpose is to mandate the declassification of all UAP-related documents within 270 days, as he emphasized the need for the public to understand where taxpayer dollars are going.
Critics argue that the Pentagon’s financial mismanagement, which includes an estimated $21 trillion unaccounted for in expenditures and substantial overruns in projects like the F-35, indicates a dire need for reform within the Department of Defense (DOD). Congress holds the constitutional power to oversee DOD budgets, and it should compel transparency, especially regarding UAPs.
The primary argument against oversight tends to hinge on the necessity of secrecy for national security purposes; however, congressional committees could be granted limited access to DOD data, allowing for oversight without compromising safety. This underscores broader systemic issues including political influence and lobbying from defense contractors that complicate efforts for accountability.

To restore accountability, measures such as enforcing the and modernizing DOD systems are crucial steps. Ensuring UAP transparency is equally vital—not just to debunk myths, but potentially to unveil deeper truths about our government and its expenditures.
As citizens and taxpayers, we are entitled to know the specifics of our government spending and who holds power over these critical issues. The Pentagon’s ongoing secrecy raises concerns about whether societal resources are being allocated responsibly or if undisclosed operations are overshadowing fundamental democratic principles. If elected officials are continually left in the dark regarding critical issues like UAPs and government spending, we must question the integrity and transparency of our democratic system. As President John F. Kennedy warned, without fiscal transparency, true democracy remains a distant dream.

By advocating for clear communication and accountability, we can ensure that we are not only funding legitimate governmental undertakings but also keeping the core democratic ideal alive. The conversation surrounding UAPs could be a crucial step toward broader transparency and accountability within our government.
